Delta Dogs have all paws on deck
We’re so pleased to welcome Delta Therapy Dogs to Minda! The program is run by a group of devoted volunteer therapy dog teams, who aim to brighten the lives of people through animal companionship.
For the next year, we will be welcoming the Delta Dogs team to Minda every fortnight. The volunteers are trained handlers and are also trained in pet therapy and we thought, instead of an ad-hoc approach of just staff bringing their pets in when they could, we’d try something a little more regular.
People living on Bonython Way were excited to have a special visit from a gorgeous Spoodle named Koda.
Brighton North support leader Deb Luders says Koda brought along his lovely human friend Celine to chat with people as well.
"Koda and Celine have been doing some special training to make sure Koda knows how to greet people – and he has certainly learned his lessons very well," Deb says.
"It was lovely for all involved to see the beautiful smiles for such a special occasion and I know we are all eagerly awaiting the next visit!"
